About Us

Dokora Services was established in 2017 by young travel professionals who have a decade of experience in the travel industry. It is located at Bishalnagar, Kathmandu Munipalicity City -4 in Kathmandu district in Nepal. The name ‘Dokora’ has comes from ‘Kora’ which means to circumambulate or the circular path. Also, in Japanese it loosely translates as ‘going somewhere’.

Dokora is a travel and logistics service that caters to all travel needs – tours (cultural and specific) and trekking in Nepal, while it does focus on specialty areas such as wellness, pilgrimage, event logistics etc.  The primary guideline for us is the Eastern cultural notion of the nobility of guests and the altruistic idea of benefitting others. We follow the compassionate impact model – where we make sure the clients and providers are both the beneficiaries in the interaction.

At our work, we abide by the principles of fair wages, non – discrimination, environmental and social sustainability. We aim to promote locally owned businesses, good and services and create an impact of tourism in the grass-root levels of society. The value of local culture, custom and tradition is highly valued by Dokora which we believe is representative in its work.

Modern life is fast-paced, work-oriented which leads to accumulation of stress and unhappiness in our bodies and minds and the larger purpose gets obscured. Dokora conducts wellness programs designed to draw the attention back to physical and mental well-being. The amalgamation of eastern therapeutic and healing techniques helps people unwind, rejuvenate and explore deeper within. Our trainers in yoga, traditional therapies and meditation, and our healers of energy healing and bodywork will ensure our clients are reinvigorated and renewed.

Dokora also specializes in spiritual and Buddhist tours. The team and advisors of Dokoras are published experts in pilgrimage of Nepal. Nepal is revered as a holy place for the Buddhists and Hindus, Himalayan peaks are considered the sacred abode of many gods and goddesses, the caves and valleys here are the sanctuaries of ancient yogis. Guided by the tradition and school of practice, whether it’d be Hinduism, Theravada, Mahayana or Vajrayana, our expert team will help you design and develop the itinerary for your spiritual trip. We also make it possible to participate in pujas and other rituals.
